Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at Rose Hill State Historic Site and Musgrove Mill State Historic Site. This full-time role reports to the Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism and requires hands-on leadership of facility and grounds upkeep.

Responsibilities include directing repairs across carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing and painting; supervising staff; coordinating daily maintenance; and ensuring safety, cleanliness

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to read procedures and blueprints; write material specifications.
• Valid South Carolina driver's license.
• Licensed or competent in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry trades.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of facilities and grounds at Rose Hill State Historic Site and Musgrove Mill State Historic Site.
• Direct repairs across carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and painting to meet standards.
• Plan and schedule daily maintenance and special projects.
• Assist with administration, forms/reports, stock for repairs, and opening/closing procedures.
• Supervise staff including training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
• Promote teamwork and represent the office on agency teams.
