Job summary

Kamen Tall Architects PC in New York seeks an Architectural Project Manager with 5–7 years of experience to lead restoration, façade repair, and adaptive reuse projects. This role combines design oversight with construction administration, client management, and schedule and budget control.

You will coordinate a team of architects, engineers, and contractors, supervise field activities, and ensure work meets the firm’s high standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of architectural project management experience in restoration, façade repair or adaptive reuse.
• Professional degree in Architecture or Engineering; licensure pursued (RA, PE or equivalent) preferred.
• NYC scaffolding certification required; ability to work on fixed or suspended scaffolding and aerial lifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of architectural projects from schematic design to construction, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality.
• Foster professional relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and stakeholders; manage expectations and supervision.
• Coordinate technical, financial and logistical aspects; manage field conditions and unforeseen challenges.
• Oversee restoration and façade repair detailing to preserve historical integrity while incorporating modern functionality.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and senior PMs to meet milestones and standards.
• Prepare and review construction documents, estimates and coordinate site inspections.
• Perform field supervision and scaffold inspections; address issues promptly.
• Support business development through proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff to enhance professional growth.
• Ensure regulatory filings with NYC DOB, LPC and other agencies; stay updated on codes.
