Job summary

Worcester Eisenbrandt, Inc. (WEI) is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This full-time role supports historic restoration and commercial projects across the DMV area, with primary office work and occasional site visits.

You will review RFPs, prepare detailed cost estimates, perform quantity take-offs, manage bid packages, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and owners to align scope, schedule, and costs with preservation standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating commercial construction projects.
• Experience with historic restoration projects is preferred.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs for historic restoration and commercial projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specs, and market conditions.
• Perform quantity take-offs for trades and develop trade-specific scopes of work.
• Create, manage, and evaluate bid packages with cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and stakeholders to align scope, schedule, permits, and costs with preservation standards.
• Utilize estimating software, Bluebeam, and Excel to develop estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as required.
