Job summary

Worcester Eisenbrandt, Inc. (WEI) is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support historic restoration and commercial projects across the DMV metro area.

The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates from documents and market conditions, performing quantity take-offs, and developing detailed scopes of work. The estimator will create, manage, and evaluate bid packages, collaborating with architects, engineers, owners, and other stakeholders to align scope, schedule, permits,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or 5–8 years estimating experience.
• Proven experience estimating commercial restoration/construction projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software including Bluebeam and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs for historic restoration and commercial projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings, specs, and market data.
• Do quantity take-offs and develop trade scopes of work.
• Create and evaluate bid packages, identifying cost savings.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and stakeholders to align scope, schedule, and costs.
• Use Bluebeam and Excel to develop reliable estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs.
