Job summary

Chico Hot Springs is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support daily operations across departments of our historic Montana resort. You will respond to maintenance calls, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance to keep facilities running smoothly.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the role requires 3+ years in maintenance or facilities, HVAC/plumbing experience, and a team-oriented mindset. Benefits include health, PTO, 401(k) and access to hot springs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in maintenance, engineering, or facilities.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs.
• Hotel or resort experience preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator a plus.
• HVAC/CFC certification a plus.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance calls across the property.
• Perform repairs (plumbing, HVAC, heating, guest rooms, general maintenance).
• Complete preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Take daily readings on equipment, meters, and temperatures.
• Assist with irrigation, landscaping, and general labor as needed.
• Complete routine maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and plumbing.
• Communicate with departments on maintenance needs and updates.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Help manage parts, materials, and supply needs.
