Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Historic Preservation Project Manager to supervise the repair and maintenance of historically designated facilities. You will lead the preservation team, coordinate with architects and contractors, and ensure compliance with preservation standards while managing budgets and schedules.

The role requires a background in architecture/history preservation, strong carpentry skills, and the ability to train staff in safe practices.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, architectural history, and/or historic preservation; minimum one year experience in historic buildings or equivalent.
• National Park Service HPTC desired but not required; ability to obtain certifications.
• Able to assess historic structures and preservation details to support projects.
• Excellent carpentry and wood-working skills.
• Knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and tools.
• Familiarity with NPS/SHPO policies and Section 106 reviews.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preservation of historic designated facilities and supervise trade workers.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and preservation methods for restoration projects.
• Coordinate with historians, architects, and contractors to ensure compliance.
• Prepare project statements and National Park proposals and support documentation.
• Provide training on best practices in historical preservation to staff.
• Maintain records per National and state agencies.
