Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a licensed Historic Preservation Architect in Wisconsin. The role focuses on leading preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse projects with direct client and stakeholder collaboration.

The candidate will conduct site investigations, prepare historic documents, and navigate local, state, and federal preservation processes while addressing accessibility and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture with licensure for practice.
• Experience in historic preservation, restoration or adaptive reuse.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and adaptive reuse projects from assessment to construction.
• Conduct site investigations, building assessments and documentation of historic materials.
• Prepare feasibility studies, historic structures reports and restoration recommendations.
• Develop design solutions preserving historic character while meeting accessibility and safety needs.
• Coordinate with owners, municipalities, preservation organizations, consultants, contractors and regulators.
• Guide projects through local, state and federal preservation reviews.
• Support nominations, surveys, Section 106 reviews and related documentation.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and client communication.
• Provide construction administration and site observation.
