Job summary

US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Supervisory Histopathology Technologist to lead Anatomic Pathology operations, including Histology, Cytology, Grossing, and Autopsy, directing a large team of staff in complex testing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal/state laws, regs, and accrediting requirements.
• Ability to supervise, evaluate staff, and enforce policies.
• Experience in laboratory quality management and training.
• Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage budgets and technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first-line supervisor and senior technical authority for Anatomic Pathology operations (Histology, Cytology, Grossing, Autopsy).
• Supervise a large staff of nonsupervisory personnel in complex anatomic pathology testing.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements across departments.
