Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Histology Technologist 1 to join the Histology Laboratory within the Division of Surgical Pathology. Under supervision, you will process, embed, cut and stain tissue specimens and support high-volume diagnostic workflows.

Responsibilities include handling reagents, QA record keeping, equipment maintenance, and assisting with training and supply management to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biological Sciences or related field.

Responsibilities

• Processes, embeds, cuts and stains tissue specimens in a high-volume patient care lab.
• Assists with quality control and quality assurance record keeping.
• Assists with ordering, receiving, labeling, and stocking incoming supplies and reagents.
• Assists in training personnel as needed; completes and organizes paperwork; maintains equipment.
