Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• ASCP histology certification or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of recent histology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process tissues through fixation, dehydration, and infiltration.
• Embed tissues, cuts and do routine staining.
• Perform specials stains and immunoperoxidase procedures when necessary.
• Assist with disposal of hazardous chemical waste and surgical material.
• Assist with processing of cytology specimens.
• Perform other duties related to histology technician responsibilities.
