Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare tissue specimens to confirm patient diagnoses.
• Ability to perform complex histological procedures and analyze data.

• Must read/write/speak English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Follow safety regulations in lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Register and accessions pathology specimens.
• Process, embed, section and stain tissues per procedures.
• Prepare specimens for research requests and transport per regulations.
• Assist pathologists with frozen sections and cytology.
• Maintain and operate histology equipment per manufacturers’ instructions.
• Adhere to PPE and hazardous waste handling policies.
