Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Histology Technician to join our pathology team. You will perform histology tasks, manage slides and blocks, and support timely case turnaround.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified Histology Tech program.
• Completion of appropriate training/internship in histology.
• Licensure: CLA or equivalent training in histology.

Responsibilities

• Performs all items in the Histology Competency Assessment Booklet and takes initiative to complete competencies.
• Meets turn-around-time standards.
• Maintains orderly filing system for block and slides.
• Blocks and preps slides accurately.
• Orders Histo/Cyto supplies.
• Enters information into Windowpath computer system.
• Completes statistical/QA reports timely.
• Maintains equipment.
