Job summary

Seacoast Pathology Inc in Exeter, NH is seeking a histology technician to support patient care by embedding and preparing slides for routine H&E and special stains. This full-time role offers a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift with benefits and opportunities for growth within a leading clinical laboratory.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot steps in processing, embedding, and staining, and work in a fast-paced environment with safety and quality controls while benefiting from PTO,

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Microscopy training and embedding experience.
• 1 year lab training or experience in high complexity testing.
• ASCP HT/HTL certification preferred.
• State licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Embed and prepare slides for routine H&E and special stains.
• Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot processing, embedding, cutting, and staining as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced lab with biological and chemical hazards.
• Support safety, compliance, and quality control.

Location: Exeter, New Hampshire Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through embedding and preparing slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures
• Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance
• Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing, embedding, cutting, staining
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is

• Experience in microtomy and embedding.
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelors of Science degree and completion of histotechnology program preferred.
• Certification as a histotechnician (HT) or histotechnologist (HTL) by American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred.
• State licensure, if applicable.
