Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Histology Technician to join our 24/7 full-service clinical laboratory in Clyde, NC. You will perform block and slide prep, ensure turnaround times, and support pathologists and technologists.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a certified Histology Technician program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• CLA or equivalent training in histology.

Responsibilities

• Perform/ensure competency in all Histology tasks per the Competency Assessment Booklet.
• Meet turnaround-time standards for histology results.
• Maintain orderly filing for blocks and slides; prepare blocks and slides accurately.
