Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Histology Technician to prepare tissue sections for microscopic examination. You will embed, cut, stain, and mount slides, enter data, and ensure accurate specimen labeling for pathologist review.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pathology slides by embedding tissue, cutting paraffin blocks, staining and coverslipping.
• Verify specimen labeling and manage patient/specimen encounters.
• Perform data entry, accessioning, and order entry with accurate documentation.
• Assist Pathologist with send-outs and special test requests as needed.
• Maintain reagents and quality assurance procedures.
