Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Histology Technician I for ANPA Surgical Pathology in Worcester, MA. The position requires 1 year of histology experience and a High School diploma, with an on-site schedule of 40 hours per week, including evenings and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience with histology workflows and tissue processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform a range of histology procedures.
• Maintains laboratory safety and equipment, including dyes and stains.
• Prepares tissue specimens and ensures proper accessioning and labeling.
• Performs routine quality control and supports histology staff as needed.
• Backs up HT II when required.
