Job summary

US Path Labs in Boca Raton, FL seeks a Histology Technician to join a fast-growing dermatopathology lab. The role requires HT/HTL ASCP certification and Florida licensure, with accurate tissue processing, staining, and quality control.

This in-person, full-time position welcomes licensed grads and offers training for those newer to the field while supporting a collaborative team focused on precise histology work and patient safety.

Qualifications

• ASCP certified histotechnician or histotechnologist required or Florida licensed.
• Minimum 2 years current Histology experience preferred; training available for new grads.
• In-person, full-time position with daytime hours (9am–5:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue samples by fixing, staining, cutting, and trimming.
• Identify and document technical issues, QA, and procedural improvements.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment; keep workspace clean and disinfected.
• Receive, log, and document patient specimens and forms.

US Path Labs has an opportunity for a Histology Technician in our dynamic and fast growing dermatopathology lab located in Boca Raton, FL.

To join our team, you must be HT or HTL ASCP certified, and Florida licensed, with the ability to precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques.We are looking for a positive and eager team player.

This is an in-person, full-time position.

New, licensed grads are welcome!

Job Description

• Prepare tissue samples by fixing, staining, dying, trimming, and other methods.
• Identify and document technical issues, quality assurance, and procedural improvements.
• Use, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, and keep a clean, disinfected work space.
• Receive, log, and document patient specimens and accompanying forms.

Qualifications

• The person should be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histotechnician or histotechnologist.
• Experience working in a lab is almost always a must, as this is a critical part of the job.
• For new grads with positive attitudes and eagerness to learn, we will gladly assist in training.

Additional Information

Job Type:

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years current Histology experience (Preferred)
• May take newer, licensed candidates under 2 years of experience
• Mohs Surgery experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.

Education:

• AS/BS in Biological/Physical Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certifications/Licenses:

• HT or HTL ASCP certified and Florida licensed (Required)
