Job summary

Seacoast Pathology Inc in Exeter, NH is seeking a histology technician to embed and prepare slides for routine H&E and special stains. This full-time night-shift role runs from 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot processing steps, and uphold safety, PHI confidentiality, and quality in a fast-paced laboratory.

Qualifications

• Experience in microtomy and embedding.
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelors of Science degree and completion of histotechnology program preferred.
• Certification as a histotechnician (HT) or histotechnologist (HTL) by ASCP preferred.
• State licensure, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Embed and prepare slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures.
• Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing, embedding, cutting, staining.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

Hours: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (flexible)
