Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Histologist to join the Pathology-Weston Hospital team. The role focuses on accessioning and processing all tissue and surgical specimens with a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

The selected candidate will work days (1:00am-9:30am) and must hold a Florida histology/cytology license, with preferred credentials including an ASCP HT/L and an associate or bachelor’s degree in related fields. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Current Florida histology or cytology technologist license required.

Responsibilities

• Accession and process tissue, surgical specimens, foreign bodies and other specimens.
• Perform immunocytochemical stains and assist pathologist with frozen sections.
• Submit tissue and gynecological specimens to reference laboratories as needed.
• Report instrument malfunctions, delays, or supply issues to supervisor or pathologist.

Education

High School education

Florida Histology/Cytology Technologist license

Associate’s Degree or higher in Histology

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science

HT/L (ASCP) certification
