Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of externship in a CLIA laboratory.
• Valid certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Embeds tissue samples in paraffin and identifies tissue types.
• Cuts tissue in ultra-thin sections based on its type.
• Performs routine, special, and Immunohistochemical staining.
• Prepares specimens for processing based on physician orders.
• Conducts quality control and investigates problems.
