Job summary

Qualifications

• HT(ASCP) certification or eligibility within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with instruction of Clinical Laboratory Science students, Pathology residents, and new employees.
• Enters testing information into computerized database.
• Investigates and resolves problems with equipment, patient results, specimens and/or workflow.
• May participate on teams or individually perform special projects/assignments.
• Prepares tissue slides by processing, embedding, sectioning, examining, and staining tissues.
• Reports results of testing to healthcare providers; consults with providers regarding test results.
