Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biological science is required.
• 3 years histology technologist experience in a clinical lab is required.
• ASCP HT certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of CAP/CLIA/JCAHO/OSHA requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and patient flow within assigned histology areas.
• Provide first-level support as a liaison for patient issues and specimen tracking.
• Perform histology procedures including accessioning, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping.
• Maintain quality control and QA records, logs, and instrument maintenance documentation.
• Train and mentor histology staff and act as a core trainer for histology practices.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, OSHA, DOH, CLIA, and JCAHO guidelines and improve workflows.
