Job summary

Baptist Health, a major healthcare system in central Alabama, seeks a Supervisor for Histology to lead staff and ensure accurate, timely histology services. The role requires overseeing Technologists, Technicians, and Assistants in the Histology department and maintaining high standards of patient care.

The Supervisors will assign tasks, monitor procedures, and collaborate with physicians and hospital personnel while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry required.
• Histological laboratory training culminating in national certification or equivalent.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Histology Technologists, Technicians, Assistants and Medical Lab Technologists.
• Assign tasks and ensure procedures are performed accurately and efficiently.
• Provide timely, courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
