The Moores Cancer Center (MCC) is one of 57 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the U.S. and the only one in San Diego County. Under supervision, the Histology Lab Research Assistant will perform routine histology and histochemistry on human and rodent samples, using standard protocols. Responsibilities include preparing buffers and solutions, and eventually performing duties independently after training. The role involves laboratory safety activities including waste disposal, requiring compliance with safety training.
Annual full pay range: $55,374 - $66,064 (prorated if less than full-time). Hourly: $26.52 - $31.64. Compensation factors include experience, skills, education, and organizational needs.
