Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Lab Processing Technician for the Histology Lab on either 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM). The role includes assisting with slide processing, cassette receipt, and general lab duties, under supervision of senior staff. Location: Ackerman Rd, Columbus, OH.

Background checks required. Responsibilities include handling tissue blocks and slides, labeling, and providing accurate paper work and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in histology or laboratory support is a plus.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with slide processing, cover slipping, and specimen handling.
• Track and manage samples and paperwork; transport slides as needed.
• Answer inquiries and support department staff with orders and issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and daily housekeeping of the laboratory.
