Job summary

IDEXX is hiring a Laboratory Assistant in the Histology department at our North Grafton, MA location. You will assist with sorting and preparing tissue samples, maintaining whole slide scanners, and ensuring image quality for the Pathology team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Histology lab experience a plus.
• Ability to work the listed schedule.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Willingness to work with veterinary tissue samples and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Input sample information in the laboratory database.
• Stock benches with necessary materials for technicians.
• Run equipment to prep samples for histology staff.
• Pack samples for storage and archiving.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of casework to remote pathologists.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VM systems for digital slide analysis.
• Organize and archive pending and completed VM cases.
• Track VM system errors and coordinate with teams.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required.
