Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of the HHS Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hire.
• Laboratory experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports multiple lab departments by assisting technical staff.
• Identifies patients and specimens with two identifiers and labels correctly.
• Registers and logs specimens in LIS and manages documentation.
• Performs specimen processing and proper handling per protocols.
• Restocks supplies and supports general lab operations.
• Operates LIS and other lab information systems proficiently.
• Maintains compliance with safety and quality standards.
• May perform venipuncture or phlebotomy tasks as needed.
