Qualifications
Associate degree in science related field required.
Minimum 4 years clinical or research lab experience.
Licensure: HT(ASCP) Histotechnician or provisional HT(ASCP) HTL/MT or QIHC within 18 months of hire.
Responsibilities
Perform microtomy for routine H&E, frozen, special stains, IF, neuromuscular, Mohs and IHC testing.
Embed tissue into paraffin blocks and orient multiple sections on a cassette.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and manage supplies.
Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and Wellstar policies and regulations.
Coordinate activities of students, residents and fellows in training.
