Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology or Biological Science required.
• 5+ years of full-time experience in a relevant HLA laboratory field preferred.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical technologist or equivalent accreditation required.
• Demonstrates autonomy, critical thinking, and leadership to oversee shift operations.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications; experience with web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operation of the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics laboratory.
• Directs HLA typing, crossmatching, antibody screening, and chimerism testing.
• Ensures compliance with ASHI, CLIA, CAP, and related regulations; maintains SOPs and quality documentation.
• Leads validation, evaluation, and implementation of new methodologies; supports budget planning.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and payroll; provides staff training.
