Job summary

Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is seeking a Hispanic Achievement Program Liaison to accelerate the academic achievement of Hispanic/Latino students within a K-12 setting. You will work under the Hispanic Achievement Program Supervisor and school principals to engage families and collaborate with community partners.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong project management and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including staff, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school staff to implement the district vision and serve as a communication link between staff, Hispanic students, and families.
• Monitor academic progress and growth of Hispanic students to ensure appropriate placement and acceleration.
• Monitor behavioral data to promote positive learning behaviors.
• Engage and facilitate involvement of Hispanic/Latino families in the educational process.
• Establish relationships with administrators, colleagues, students, and parents showing respect for all individuals.
• Collaborate with non-profits and government agencies supporting Hispanic/Latino students.
• Participate in curricular program meetings to provide information, support, and feedback to families.
