Job summary

State of Louisiana seeks a dedicated HiSET instructor for the JCP program in Louisiana. You''ll plan and deliver adult education to 16–18-year-old at-risk youth, preparing them for the HiSET exam and supporting their overall development.

The role emphasizes lesson planning, progress tracking, driver’s training coordination with outside providers, and maintaining accurate records while collaborating with the Lead Instructor and program staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent with Louisiana Teaching Certificate.
Proficiency with computers and educational software.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with general guidance.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver HiSET instruction to JCP students and prepare them for the HiSET.
Develop and adapt lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, assessments, and teaching methods.
Monitor student progress and maintain records and progress data.
Coordinate driver''s training with external training provider and track hours.
Maintain accurate records and ensure a conducive learning environment.
