At VERSES, we're shaping the future of computing with our natural computing platform, Genius. We're looking for a Staff QA Software Engineer to join our Innovation team where we rapidly prototype Spatial Web technologies and AI applications.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Staff QA Software Engineer, you will:

• Drive test automation with clear metrics showing product health.
• Build test automation into CICD pipelines.
• Create multiple types of automated tests including: Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance and Load, and End to End.
• Learn the technical details of our product to ensure proper test code coverage and deliver metrics to stakeholders.
• Develop strategies and tests to proactively identify system issues and ensure high quality.
• Oversee risk management by defining critical quality attributes, assessing residual risks, and presenting risk/benefit justifications to leadership.
• Mentor and help grow other team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality in solutions as customers onboard to the Genius Platform.
• Create and maintain software engineering test plans based on evolving requirements.
• Maintain QA documentation and prepare relevant documentation for other teams.
• Suggest tools and processes to ensure bug-free releases.

Essential Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in SaaS or similar industry, supporting enterprise-scale applications.
• Fluent in modern testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Playwright, Selenium.
• Experience developing comprehensive test plans from OpenAPI specifications.
• Proficiency in creating various automated tests, including SDK testing.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of web technologies and standards, such as REST/CRUD, HTTP, DNS, and web security.
• Comfortable with programming languages like Python, Typescript, and Rust.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with pub/sub technologies like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis.
• Experience with IoT and edge computing technologies.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Strong probabilistic statistical skills are a plus.

Education & Technical Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Understanding of core machine learning and AI concepts, including generative models like GPTs, and emerging paradigms such as active inference.
• Experience running effective QA in B2B enterprises with operations, customer support, or technical support.
