About the role:

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates across the US.

As a Senior Technical Writer at Galileo, you will deliver high-quality documentation that helps business users and developers meet their goals with Galileo’s products and API platform.

• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and subject-matter experts to write and maintain API documentation, product guides, and code examples for a complex financial platform.
• Help evolve our documentation tools to meet changing needs.
• Bring strong technical skills, curiosity, attention to detail, and a drive to improve our documentation.

What you’ll do:

• Create and improve technical documentation for clients, developers, and internal teams.
• Manage content using various tools and workflows.
• Identify gaps and suggest improvements in documentation processes.
• Engage with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to validate information.
• Plan and communicate documentation projects aligned with product launches.
• Continuously adapt content based on audience needs and feedback.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with teams virtually.
• Provide and receive feedback to improve team outputs.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years in technical communication.
• Experience documenting APIs with engineers.
• Proficiency in Git and source code understanding.
• Experience with docs-as-code and OpenAPI.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Strong strategic and tactical skills.
• Relationship-building skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.
• Knowledge of at least one fintech sector.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI tools in documentation.
• Experience with content management systems like ReadMe.
• Ability to create multimedia resources.

Compensation and Benefits
