Job description

Apr 10, 2025 - Oscar Health is hiring a remote Senior Analyst, Compensation. Salary: $79,920 - $116,550 per year. Location: USA.

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Analyst to join our Compensation team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role

The Senior Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and support to the compensation team to ensure our compensation programs run successfully. This role will act as the first point of contact for employee and manager questions regarding compensation at Oscar and as the compensation SME to the internal people team for Tier 1 support. The Senior Analyst will also conduct regular audits and maintain SOPs and documentation to ensure all programs are acting in accordance with applicable laws while supporting all SOX compliance and internal audits.

You will report to a Compensation leader.

Work Location:

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

You must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $88,800 - $116,550. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $79,920 - $104,895 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare analysis and reports to provide data driven insights to support compensation programming including, pay equity reviews, competitive market analysis, offer model recommendations, and annual compensation review cycles.
  • Conduct ad hoc job description reviews and market pricing efforts including leveling and FLSA reviews.
  • Maintain the Compensation in-box and respond to requests and questions from internal people team members, managers, and employees.
  • Prepare and submit annual salary surveys and act as the internal system administrator for our market pricing system, CompAnalyst (through Salary.com), ensuring it remains accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Complete testing to validate configuration of the compensation module in Workday and run regular audits to ensure compensation data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Calculate monthly bonus accruals, along with finance partners, to support budgeting for the annual bonus program.
  • Draft training materials for ongoing communications and education around all aspects of our compensation programs.
  • Assist in providing compensation evidence and support for SOX compliance and internal audits.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
