Job summary

My MediRides is seeking a full-time driver in New Port Richey, FL. The role includes transporting patients to appointments, with a per-trip incentive and fuel cards provided. A valid state driver’s license, 5+ years of driving experience, and a clean MVR are required.

You will report safety issues, perform vehicle checks, and follow all traffic laws and PTI’s policies. Applicants must be 21+, pass screens and tests, and be able to read and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the location.
• At least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, a 3-year MVR check, background check and driving performance test.
• Must read, write and converse in English.
• Must use GPS/technology systems and read road maps.
• Ability to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
• Able to climb in/out of the vehicle and inspect undercarriage and tires.
• Able to open/close vehicle doors and hatches.

Responsibilities

• Drive customers to and from doctor appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, pharmacies and other medical visits on time.
• Provide safe, courteous and respectful customer service.
• Report safety or vehicle issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to federal, state and local traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct vehicle inspections during refueling and maintain confidentiality.

Pay: $15/hr + Per-Trip Incentive

Responsibilities

• This is a Monday-Friday day time job
• Company will provide paid in field training, vehicle to use when transporting customers, and a fuel card
• It is the responsibility of the employee to report any and all moving violations to his or her supervisor immediately
• Drivers are responsible for safely transporting our customer’s to and from doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, pharmacies, or any other medical appointments on time, while adhering to federal, state and local traffic laws, as well as PTI’s policies and procedures
• Driving vehicles in a safe manner
• Provide reliable, courteous and respectful customer service
• Report to pickups at the required need time and location to ensure passengers timely arrival for appointments
• Report any defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to your Manager
• Perform a vehicle inspection while refueling vehicle
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding PTI’s business secrets and customer information
• Abide by all Company policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor
