Job summary

Assisting Hands - Pasco is seeking a dedicated driver to safely transport our clients to and from medical appointments in New Port Richey, FL. This Monday–Friday daytime role includes paid in-field training and a company vehicle with a fuel card.

You will ensure on-time arrivals while following all traffic laws and PTI policies. You must be a 21+ driver with a valid license, pass background checks, and be able to read, write and converse in English.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and converse in English.
• Must have valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the location for which you are applying.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year MVR check, background check and driving performance test.
• Must not have a physical impairment preventing safe driving or performing essential functions.
• Must be able to use GPS/technology systems, read and understand roadmaps.
• Ability to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to climb in and out of the vehicle and bend to inspect undercarriage and tires.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers safely to appointments on time, adhering to traffic laws and PTI policies.

• Report to pickups at required need time and location for timely arrivals.
• Report defects or missing items to Manager.
• Perform a vehicle inspection while refueling.
• Maintain confidentiality of PTI business and customer information.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay: $15/hr + Per-Trip Incentive

Responsibilities

• This is a Monday-Friday day time job.
• Company will provide paid in-field training, vehicle to use when transporting customers, and a fuel card.
• It is the responsibility of the employee to report any and all moving violations to his or her supervisor immediately.
• Drivers are responsible for safely transporting our customers to and from doctor’s appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, pharmacies, or any other medical appointments on time, while adhering to federal, state and local traffic laws, as well as PTI’s policies and procedures.
• Driving vehicles in a safe manner.
• Provide reliable, courteous and respectful customer service.
• Report to pickups at the required need time and location to ensure passengers timely arrival for appointments.
• Report any defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to your Manager.
• Perform a vehicle inspection while refueling vehicle.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding PTI’s business secrets and customer information.
• Abide by all Company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
