Overview

We are looking for a hiring manager to drive a successful recruiting strategy, recruit and retain service professionals for our plumbing, excavation, and water cleanup teams at our Baltimore branch located in Elkridge, MD.

The position offers a salary range of $80,000–$90,000, with opportunity for a performance‑based bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

The Field Training Manager/Hiring Manager will hire and retain employees for the branch by recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching. The role requires significant time in the field working closely with technicians and sales representatives to support sales, customer service, and overall productivity.

• Manage, coach and mentor a team of sales and service professionals to provide quality services.
• Recruit sales and service teams using active recruiting methods.
• Ensure monthly manpower goals are met.
• Increase revenue by developing existing business and cultivating new customers in both residential and commercial markets.
• Follow up with customers from leads provided by field service technicians.
• Prevent or handle customer issues.
• Develop additional business opportunities by selling preventative maintenance and priority care programs.
• Conduct work‑site reviews to ensure safety measures are utilized.
• Monitor team performance standards weekly; review and determine areas needing additional training.
• Accompany service technicians to customer sites to observe performance, provide coaching and training, and promote additional products and services.
• Analyze sales metrics to ensure team members maximize each opportunity and achieve individual sales goals.
• Manage talent acquisition data through an ATS portal.
• Screen resumes and interview candidates.
• Source and manage both active and passive candidates on job boards such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
• Monitor new recruits, including periodic ride‑alongs, to assess training needs.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license.
• Experience as a hiring manager with a track record of recruiting and developing a solid team of sales and service professionals.
• Self‑starter, organized, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a bustling environment.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Service industry experience strongly desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing and maintaining a pipeline of candidates.
• Strong knowledge of advanced recruiting platforms and techniques, including social media.
