Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Join a growing defense-focused manufacturing facility as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler on a steady day shift schedule. In this role, you will build and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies that support advanced drone and related systems, working in a clean, modern environment with opportunities for overtime and long-term employment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components into complex electro-mechanical assemblies, including high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and detailed assembly instructions to complete builds accurately and efficiently.
  • Use common hand and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes, and other specialized test equipment to perform assembly and integration tasks.
  • Perform electronic assembly work, including hand soldering, component fabrication, and integration of electrical and mechanical subassemblies.
  • Conduct validation and testing of electronic components and assemblies using multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, test racks, and related test equipment.
  • Run functional checkouts and tests on assemblies and systems, document results, and diagnose issues discovered during these processes.
  • Troubleshoot electronic box assemblies, PCBA-level issues, and RF systems, and write detailed issue tickets to document failures and corrective actions.
  • Apply common air-frame construction techniques such as installing rivets, mechanical fasteners, and nut plates when required for assemblies.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams, communicating effectively in both verbal and written form to clarify requirements, report issues, and support continuous improvement.
  • Rapidly adapt to changing roles and responsibilities in a high-paced, challenging production environment to meet evolving project and production needs.
  • Support drone team assembly projects by building and integrating components that contribute directly to advanced unmanned systems.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Work overtime during the week and on weekends as needed to support production schedules and customer demand.
Essential Skills
  • At least 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within aerospace, electronics, or medical industries, performing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
  • Proficiency using common hand tools and power tools, including pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes, and specialized test equipment.
  • Proficiency with computer use, including standard web browsers and word processing applications, to access documentation and record test or assembly data.
  • Working knowledge of common electrical components and their functions within assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and electro-mechanical integration tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving issues in production assemblies and test setups.
  • Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a fast-paced, high-demand production environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with engineering and production teams.
  • Capability to support production needs that may include overtime and weekend shifts as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience mechanically assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, including high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and related components.
  • Hands-on experience with hand soldering and component fabrication for electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience performing validation and testing of electronic components using multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks.
  • Familiarity with air-frame construction techniques such as installing rivets, mechanical fasteners, nut plates, and similar hardware.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic box assemblies and documenting issues through detailed issue tickets.
  • Experience running functional checkouts and tests on electronic and electro-mechanical systems and diagnosing issues discovered during testing.
