Job summary

Cheer Home Care in San Diego is actively hiring in-home experienced caregivers to join our team in La Jolla and North County. The role focuses on companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation to keep clients at home with dignity.

Your day may include ADLs, mobility support, and dementia-related care, with shifts ranging 4–12 hours and locations across La Jolla and surrounding areas. Competitive hourly pay and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving assistance with ADLs and dementia care.
• 4 year College Degree completed or in progress.
• Understanding of cognitive care needs (dementia) and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, toileting, hygiene and light meals.
• Provide transportation services to medical appointments.
• Deliver Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Hospice care as needed.
• OfferHourly care and light housekeeping.
• Support clients to stay safe and comfortable at home.

As a Cheer Home Care Aide, you will provide compassionate non-medical home care services to the elderly and disabled. Your main focus will be on providing companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation services, all designed to help our clients maintain a comfortable and fulfilling life at home.

Your vibrant personality and exceptional skills will make a positive difference in the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities. On a typical day, your responsibilities may include:

• Personal care with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, personal hygiene assistance, and light meal prep.
• Transportation services to clients for medical appointments.
• Dementia Care, Alzheimer's Care, Parkinson's Care, Hospice Care and more.
• Hourly Care
• Light housekeeping and organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active LVN License OR Relevant 4-Year College Degree
• Active CNA or HHA Certification
• 5+ years of professional caregiving experience, including all ADLs
• Specialized training/experience in Dementia, Parkinson's, Post-Stroke, and Hospice care

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving assistance with activities of daily living and dementia care
• 4 year College Degree completed or in progress
• Understanding of Cognitive Care Needs (Dementia Care), Parkinson's and other Chronic Health conditions.
• Able to provide mobility assistance, transfers, and physical support
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Certifications preferred but NOT required: CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED
• Reliable transportation to drive client in their vehicle (mileage reimbursement included)
• Must have a smartphone with internet access

Cheer Offers

• Hourly Rate: $23 to $27, depending on experience, certifications, reference reviews, car access, and more.
