Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is hiring Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. Roles include day and night shifts across Capitola and surrounding areas, with onboarding support and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete onboarding paperwork

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and transfers
• Perform housekeeping up to 20% of duties
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide medication reminders
• Support with ROM exercises
• Offer dementia care and companionship activities

Skills

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20%performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)?
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
