Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is hiring Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities across Monterey Bay, CA. Join a growing home care team and receive paid training, weekly pay, and access to benefits.

Shift options include Overnight, Weekdays, and Weekends, with a pay rate of $18.00–$22.00 per hour. Valid driver's license and caregiving experience are preferred, and onboarding paperwork will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville areas.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Pass a background check
• CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete onboarding paperwork

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Help with transferring/moving in the home.
• Limit housekeeping to no more than 20% of duties (light chores).
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, shaving, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders and ROM support.
• Offer dementia care and companionship activities

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20% performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
