Job summary

Right at Home is seeking CNAs, HHAs, and caregivers to provide in-home care for seniors and adults with disabilities in the Monterey Bay area. Join a team that values service and community impact.

Shifts include day and night, with work across multiple days. Earn $18.00–$22.00 per hour, with benefits, training, and opportunities for referral bonuses as you make a difference in clients' lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and transfers.
• Limit housekeeping to 20% of duties for client support.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders and ROM support.
• Offer dementia care and companionship activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of experience in caregiving (Family members or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork.

Payrate

$18.00 - $22.00

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20%performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)?
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
