Executive Home Care of Hacienda Heights is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to provide direct and indirect personal care in patients' homes under RN supervision. You will follow safety procedures and maintain clear communication with the supervising nurse on patient progress.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an HHA program, and preferably an active HHA license. You must be physically capable to perform duties and handle patient-related tasks with care and

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred.
• Active Home Health Aide (HHA) license preferred.
• Physically able to perform the required duties.
• Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste.
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Must meet all applicable personnel qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Follow established safety procedures while delivering patient care.
• Maintain effective communication with the supervising nurse regarding patient condition and progress.
• Perform assigned patient care tasks according to the written care plan developed by the Registered Nurse.
• Accurately document services provided and submit required reports on time.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in the patient's condition or behavior.
• Comply with all state regulations governing the role of a Home Health Aide in the home care setting.

Scope of Practice

Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are not permitted to perform the following procedures unless otherwise authorized by applicable regulations and the patient's plan of care:

• Change sterile dressings
• Irrigate body cavities or administer enemas
• Irrigate a colostomy or wound
• Perform gastric irrigation or enteral feeding
• Catheterize a patient
• Administer medications
• Apply heat therapy by any method
• Care for a tracheostomy tube
• Perform any personal health service not included in the patient's approved plan of care
