Job summary

Executive Home Care of Hacienda Heights is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to support patients at home. You will provide direct and indirect personal care under a registered nurse’s supervision, while maintaining safety and clear communication with the care team.

The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunity to work within a supportive environment, with training and professional growth through ongoing development. High school diploma and HHA training preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Home Health Aide program is preferred.
• Active HHA license is preferred where applicable.
• Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
• Effective communication with patients and staff is essential.
• Meet personnel qualifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect personal care to the patient in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse
• Utilizes safety measures in the provision of care.
• Maintains effective communication with supervisor regarding patient’s condition.
• Follows written assignment to deliver patient services developed by an appropriate health care professional (RN)
• Documents and submits accurate accounts of services provided.
• Observes the patient for changes in condition and behavior and reports to the supervisor.
• Submits required documentation in a timely manner.
• Adheres to the role of the Home Health Aide in the home setting as defined in state regulation.

The home health aide or CNA shall not change sterile dressings, irrigate body cavities such as giving an enema, irrigate a colostomy or wound, perform gastric irrigation or enteral feeding, catheterize a patient, administer medication, apply heat by any method, care for a tracheostomy tube, nor provide any personal health service which has not been included in the plan of care.
