Job summary

MRO provides ROI support at client sites, processing patient record requests in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. You will review requests, determine records to release, and log, scan, and process data to ensure accurate delivery to requestors.

The role requires data entry ability, independent work style, and strong communication. At times you will handle payments and support physician offices, while adhering to site policies.

Qualifications

• Experience entering data into computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Dependability.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Release of Information experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA guidelines and locate matching patient data.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers requesting medical records and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process requests from physician offices on a priority basis and fax information as needed.
• Log medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
