Job summary

Embedded Shishya is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. You will design and implement secure networks, monitor incidents, and drive HIPAA and NIST compliance across client environments.

You will perform risk assessments, manage vulnerabilities, develop security policies, and collaborate with IT and operations to embed robust security practices. Strong SIEM, cloud security, and IAM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity roles with a focus on HIPAA compliance and NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, PCI DSS, and other security standards.
• Strong experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Familiarity with cloud security platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk, Sentinel).
• Expertise in encryption, vulnerability management, and IAM.
• Proficiency in security best practices and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network systems, applications, and infrastructure for client environments, ensuring HIPAA and NIST compliance.
• Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify threats and develop remediation strategies.
• Ensure security processes align with HIPAA, NIST, and industry standards; maintain documentation.
• Monitor systems for security breaches and lead incident response and forensics analyses.
• Develop and implement security policies and collaborate with other teams to embed security across operations.
• Conduct periodic security audits and produce reports for stakeholders and regulators as needed.
• Provide training and awareness programs on security protocols and compliance.
