Job summary

Zooly Labs, Inc. is seeking a Product Development Lead to steer the hip product strategy and translate unmet surgical needs into clinically relevant, technically feasible, and commercially meaningful solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in biomedical engineering, biomechanics, robotics, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.
• Typically 7+ years of orthopaedic medical devices or related product development experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead product development from unmet clinical need through prototyping, validation, and regulatory readiness.
• Strong knowledge of orthopaedic anatomy, biomechanics, implant/workflow processes.
• Experience translating surgeon feedback into design inputs and priorities.
• Experience planning cadaver labs, lab studies, and clinical workflow evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Own the hip orthopaedic application strategy across Zooly Sense, Solve, and Go capabilities.
• Lead surgeon design meetings, cadaver labs, bench studies, and clinical workflow reviews.
• Translate surgical needs into user needs, system requirements, and research priorities.
• Define clinically meaningful outputs, ground truth, acceptance criteria, and interpretation of algorithm results.
• Partner with engineers on architecture, sensing strategy, and verification plans.
• Lead regulatory inputs for submissions, including intended use and product claims.
• Support risk management, design controls, and quality documentation with Regulatory teams.
• Maintain the hip roadmap and product backlog.
