Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license and Nurse Practitioner specialty certification.
• Current certification: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, Adult Nurse Practitioner Primary Care or Family NP.
• Graduate of an accredited NP program; DEA and BLS.
• PA: Michigan PA license; NCCPA certification; ARC-PA/CAAHEP education; State Controlled Substance license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat orthopaedic patients; perioperative and postoperative care with faculty support.
• Assist surgeons in outpatient, OR settings; first assisting in surgery.
• Triage and answer patient questions during evenings/weekends; coordinate care with Troy campus staff.
• Provide continuity of outpatient care including pre/postoperative management and non-operative cases.
• Review imaging and lab results; perform minor procedures and injections; manage braces/splints.
• Support administrative and nursing staff; assist with referrals and coordinate care plans.
