Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Manager, Merch Analytics Hindsight to lead the post-season and post-launch analytical discipline for the Merchandise organization. You will build the hindsight framework spanning assortment performance, promotional effectiveness, and forecast accuracy.

This role requires an analytically rigorous professional who can translate SKU-level data into clear recommendations for Merchants and Planning leadership, driving actionable changes in planning and pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related analytical field.
• 6+ years in financial analysis or retail analytics.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the hindsight calendar and cadence across merchandise.
• Build standardized hindsight templates for sell-through, margin, forecast accuracy.
• Maintain data lineage and definitions for consistent metrics.
• Deliver the hindsight package to Merchants and senior leadership.
• Quantify SKU/category productivity and inform next assortment cycle.
• Measure promo and pricing hindsight impact.
• Evaluate NPI performance against pre-launch forecast.
• Partner with Demand Planning on forecast accuracy.
• Translate findings into changes in assortment, pricing, or planning.
