Job summary

PTR Global seeks a Linguist II to support language components for voice-enabled technologies. Native or near-native Hindi fluency, strong linguistic data analysis, and experience in language technology are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Speech Science, or a related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Hindi.
• Awareness of Indian languages and their linguistic, cultural, and local nuances.
• Knowledge of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and corpus linguistics.
• Experience working with speech and text data in multiple languages.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and their applications.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with database queries and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, spreadsheets, R, Unix).

Responsibilities

• Provide linguistic expertise in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics.
• Collaborate with linguists and data operations teams on data collection, curation, translation, localization, and annotation efforts.
• Evaluate and curate datasets for machine learning models using LLM solutions.
• Assess model and data quality.
• Perform prompt engineering tasks.
• Develop complex and consistent linguistic analyses collaboratively.
